Ladies first,
I have been a fan since I was born, thanks to my dad but I have only really taken notice in the last 3 years.
Favourite Player: Currently do not have one since Morgan left, he was my one and only.
Underrated Player: Paulo Gazzaniga. Perhaps I'm the only one that see's something in him, perhaps not but he will become a great goalkeeper.
Best Memory: Fainting at White Hart Lane.
Regarding the Liverpool game, we really have to keep going for the full 90+ minutes, and not repeat the amazing first half and dull second half that we have been seeing lately, as we are better than that. The main threat they have is probably Coutinho so we will really have to watch out for him and keep the defence in check. Another thing to worry about in my opinion is Adam Lallana. He’s not a massive threat and some may even laugh at me to even be concerned about him however I feel that when there are so many negative chants being sung about a player like him they can’t help but feel the need to shut those fans up. And how would he do that? He’d score a goal. Calling him every name under the sun is not a good thing, it’ll only rile him up.
Like I said with the Liverpool game, we have to keep going for the full 90 minutes for every game, and not lose interest, and keep the faith even if we’re not doing well. Off days do happen. I’m confident we can keep going strong though.
Predictions:
Stoke Home 2-0
Manchester City Away 2-1
Liverpool Home (cup) 2-1 AET
Aston Villa Home 3-1
Crystal Palace Away 1-2
Spurs Home 2-2
Now for my dad's turn,
I have been a fan since the 70s. Saints mean everything to me. I dreamed of Champions League since we were in League One and think we are in a very special phase and have a very good few seasons coming up including this one.
Favourite Player: Sadio ManĂ©. He seems to have that something extra. A turn of pace that I haven't seen in a saints player in I don't know how long. He excites me every time he gets the ball and he leaves others in his wake. The only way to stop him is to foul him. My fiancĂ© has made up a song for him as she hates that there isn’t really one for him even though he’s a record breaker.
All-time Favourite: Le God. He saved us a number of times and always done the unbelievable.
Underrated Player: Steven Davis. When he’s not playing I wish he was, he's everywhere and he’s now scoring again!
The crucial run up to Christmas is upon us so the next six games could decide where Saints are going for the rest of the season. Five Premier League games and a League Cup Quarter final to play, 4 at home. None of them are easy but we can win 3 or 4 League games, stuff Liverpool, reach the semi final (first time since 2003 not including JPT) and get a top 4-6 place in the League by Christmas. It is difficult, but not impossible. We can achieve.
We especially need to win Spurs at home. To actually beat Poch and those ‘North London yobos’ would be the best Christmas present a Saints fan could receive.
Regarding Liverpool, It is very important to go through, not only to progress but for team spirit, confidence, and for us fans. However we must keep an eye on Coutinho. We must mark him out of the game, don't let him shoot. We also need to get our defensive midfielders to sort out Lielanna early on and get our defence to nullify Benteke who always seems to score against us. I would like to see some youngsters on the bench and Shane Long if he’s fit, but we must progress.
Predictions:
Stoke Home 1-0
Manchester City Away 2-2
Liverpool Home (cup) 2-1 AET
Aston Villa Home 3-0
Crystal Palace Away 1-3
Spurs Home 2-1
Optimistic I know and it's Saints so we call know what can happen but what the hell!
Could we take our unbeaten away record to City and still come away unbeaten? Why not?
Keep the faith, COYR.

Bet everyone is dying to know how the song goes now???????
ReplyDeleteI have heard the song and think it should be in print for other fans to learn and even sing at games. Great bolg by the way, really well written.
